Dear Eton Elementary Families, This morning, our Centegix safety system was activated as part of a precautionary response to assist with an isolated student situation on campus. The badge was inadvertently pushed more times than required, which triggered a higher-level alert. The matter was quickly resolved, and we are pleased to share that students and staff did an excellent job following safety procedures, and demonstrating calm and cooperation throughout the process. The school has now returned to its regular schedule and activities. We appreciate your understanding as we continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of everyone on campus. Meals will be provided Monday-Friday, May 28 - Aug 9 (except July 4th week) at multiple convenient locations like schools, mobile home parks, and more. Update: Dear MCS Families, We want to inform you that all Murray County School District schools are currently under a soft perimeter lockdown. This lockdown is a precautionary measure requested by local law enforcement due to an ongoing event in the vicinity of our schools. During this perimeter lockdown, students will not be permitted outside the school buildings. However, please be assured that all school activities are proceeding as usual within the buildings, and the safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. We want to emphasize that all students and staff are safe within the school buildings. Dismissal times will remain unchanged, and we anticipate a smooth and orderly dismissal process. We understand that situations like these can cause concern.
